Madonna Buys The Weeknd’s Home for $19.3M

Madonna is sparing no expense in purchasing a new home in Los Angeles. She recently bought The Weeknd’s Hollywood Hills home for $19.3 million.

It’s a large mansion with an expansive lawn that would be perfect for her family of seven.

The mansion has seven bedrooms. There is also a two-bedroom guesthouse within the property.

It’s safe to say that each of Madonna’s children will have their own room in the house. Her eldest is model Lourdes Leon, 24, whom she shares with ex-boyfriend Carlos Leon, a fitness trainer.

Madonna was married to British director Guy Ritchie from 2000 to 2008. They have two children together, 20-year-old Rocco and 15-year-old David, whom they adopted from Malawi.

Madonna’s youngest children were also adopted from Malawi: Mercy James, 15, and twins Estere and Stella, eight.

What’s in the multimillion-dollar property?

Most of the bedrooms of the 13,391-square-foot mansion have terraces to look over the beautiful view of the hills in the background and the large trees within the property.

The property also has nine bathrooms. The master bathroom has a large window so that Madonna could enjoy the view outside her beautiful home while in the bath.

There is a five-car garage. But if Madonna, who is worth $850 million, happens to have more than five cars, the property has a huge driveway and yard.

Other rooms in the house include a media room, a gym, a large living room, and a massive dining room.

The kitchen, which is also huge, is nicely situated as it opens to a family room and the in-house bar.

The bar could accommodate a few bottles of wine or one’s alcohol of choice. However, the house also has a wine room to accommodate hundreds of bottles of wine.

The interiors are white. The entry hall features a two-storey glass wall where one can see the lush trees outside the swanky home.

Moving to the outside of the house, there is an infinity pool and a spa.

For those cold nights, there is also a firepit and a cabana with comfortable couches.

The house is certainly a fitting abode for the Queen of Pop.

Portugal to the U.S.

Before buying the Los Angeles home, Madonna was living in Sintra, Portugal with her younger children.

Madonna bought the property, which is just outside Lisbon, in 2017 for $9 million. The property is described as an 18th century Moorish Revival mansion.

The house is over 16,000 square feet. It has four bedrooms and seven bathrooms.

The house doesn’t seem to be on the market, which means that Madonna and her brood will probably be living bicoastal.

As for The Weeknd, born Abel Tesfaye, don’t worry, he’s not going to be homeless. He reportedly has another house in Los Angeles while also renting a penthouse in the posh Tribeca neighborhood in New York.

The Weeknd only made a little over a million dollars from the sale of his Hidden Hills home to Madonna.

The “Blinding Lights” singer originally put the mansion on the market for $25 million. Unfortunately, there were no takers.

He eventually cut down the price to $19.3 million. He bought the property back in 2017 for $18.2 million.
